Nigerian singer, Skales has opened up about his humble beginnings without hesitation as he revealed that he and his late mum used to live in a 'simple hut' back then in Kaduna state.
He said in his words: "I’ve been through a lot. I come from Kaduna from a poor family. My mum was a teacher. I used to live in a hut before we moved to a BQ. We would sleep on mats on the floor, and my mom would put a wrapper down for us. Coming from that situation to where I am now is crazy. Sometimes I just look at it and think, ‘that’s insane.’ I never saw a TV until EME signed me. Having my own TV in my room for the first time was a big deal.”
