Nigerian singer, Seyi Shay, has opened up about her early working relationship with Afrobeats superstar Wizkid, revealing how their collaborations blossomed into a genuine friendship and creative mentorship..
She recounted: "I did Crazy with Wizkid. I featured him on the song, and he featured me on one of his songs. I also did some background vocals for a couple of his other songs. We became genuine friends."
"He’s incredibly smart and talented. I’ve seen him record while eating, and that was mind-blowing to me. He’s like a magician. I’m heavily attracted to people of extraordinary talent. My spirit, connects with people that are inhumanly talented," she said.
She had one or two to say about his guidance on how to navigate fame and the industry in general too.
"He used to advise me a lot and tell me how people behave in this industry,” she added.
