Singer Bella Shmurda Gets Opinionated On The High Performance Fees Of Nigerian Artistes

Singer, Bella Shmurda, has shared his opinion on the high performance fees of Nigerian artistes...

He said: “Speaking from the perspectives of an artiste, making music is expensive. I don’t repeat clothes because I’m a public figure. I spent $100,000 to pay producers, songwriters and engineers that worked on my album. That’s over N100 million. Not to mention music videos and promotion costs. That’s a lot.

“So, I go for a show, I would charge what would equate my investments. Even if I don’t make profit, I should a least be able to recover the cost of production. So, we are not overcharging. If you look at it from our own perspective, you will agree that we are not overcharging,” he explained.

Rapper Erigga Says Beef Between Colleagues Blaqbonez And Odumodublvck Is Bad For Nigerian Hip-Hop

Ace rapper Erigga has said the ongoing beef between his colleagues Odumodublvck and Blaqbonez is detrimental to the Nigerian hip-hop scene...

“Nigerian fans like it when rappers fight. The ongoing beef between Odumodublvck and Blaqbonez is bad for the culture because it enables people who don’t love our culture to bring in their crazy opinions,” he said.

“Beef isn’t really good for the music business, especially for hip-hop. It brings traction but it doesn’t help the culture. Blaqbonez and Odumodublvck are beefing, they’re both my close colleagues so the room now is a bit tensed.

“People are hyping their beef not because they love hip-hop but because they love to see artists fight. When last did you see them celebrating hip-hop achievements? They only come around when the culture is heated. This their fight is beyond rap beef.”

'Depression Was My Closest Companion’ – Actress Tonto Dikeh Reflects On Spiritual Healing

Nollywood actress Tonto Dikeh has shared a heartfelt story about her spiritual rebirth, revealing seven personal battles that she says the Holy Spirit helped her overcome.

In an emotional post on Instagram, the mother of one opened up about her journey from emotional turmoil to inner peace, describing it as a divine process that reshaped her heart and habits.

According to Dikeh, she once struggled deeply with uncontrollable anger that cost her relationships and opportunities.

“There was a time I had a fuse so short it could set everything ablaze. I mistook my pain for strength, but it was only destroying me,” she revealed.

She explained that true change began when she surrendered completely to God, allowing Him to replace her rage with calm and understanding.

The actress also spoke candidly about her past battles with depression and emotional pain, confessing that there was a time she felt consumed by sadness and even attempted suicide.

“I was living as both the wound and the weapon. Depression was my companion; I wore pain like a second skin until God said, ‘Rise,’ and I did.”

Tonto added that her healing has taught her to approach others with empathy rather than judgment.

“When I see people acting from a place of pain, I don’t condemn them; I pray for them. I know how it feels to lose yourself while trying to survive,” she noted.

The screen star further disclosed that she has turned away from sexual immorality and now practices celibacy as part of her renewed faith.

Reflecting on her past, she said, “I gave my life to Christ after secondary school but took His love for granted. Life humbled me, and through that pain, I returned to my first love, God.”

Rapper Blaqbonez Says He Doesn't Mind An Open Marriage

Nigerian rapper Emeka Akumefule, popularly known as Blaqbonez, has said he doesn’t mind an open marriage...

He said, “I don’t mind having an open marriage. Most married couples, you don’t keep having same amount of sex you were having at the beginning. It will reduce.

“If somebody is satisfying her sexually while I’m hustling, touring, I’m not available to be getting intimate with her all the time. That is okay. There’s more to marriage than sex. I don’t mind that you’re sleeping with someone else provided you’re dedicated to me.

It will be difficult for a random person to just come and match up with what I have put in there. Nobody is just going to get her sexually and also mentally addicted to them. They probably can’t make her laugh the way I do. If I’m even going to get married, I need two rooms. Me and my wife will only meet when we want to have intimacy.”
